+ the gun-toting, cursing and devillish team captain of the Deimon Devilbats Football team. He is in his 2nd year of Deimon High School and he wants to take his team to Christmas Bowl. With the discovery of their star runner, Eyeshield 21.. Hiruma is sure they will go the distance in his last year to play in the championship.

+ the protective, broom-wielding manager of the Deimon Devilbats. She is in her 2nd year of Deimon High School. She joins the team under the pretense to protect Sena (who is in reality, Eyeshield 21) from the evil bullying of Hiruma. Mamori finds herself at loggerheads with Hiruma due to his rather violent ways in drilling the team.

+ It's really a dynamic relationship. Hiruma is pretty well-known for his devil ways and blackmailing -- he can practically make everyone to do what he wants. Mamori is one of the few characters that actually stands up against him and doesn't receive 'trouble' from Hiruma in return... aside from the usual name-calling and ribald remarks. Hiruma seems to enjoy calling her 'fucking manager' and Mamori occasionally, scolds him for doing that.

+ Eventhough they do disagree on some things, Hiruma knows he can count on her to do her duties. And Mamori knows she needs to give her support to him and the team.

+ Well, I personally feel there is love in between their 'sparring sessions'. When they're not quarelling, they can exchange peaceful words in quiet moments. Altho Hiruma will never let her off easy XDDDDD
Hiruma - What're you doing? Go and take care of the kids(the other players) back there.
Mamori - Your knee is injured. I'll tend to the others afterwards.
Hiruma - ........... *moves knee around so she can't bandage it*

+My fall into the world of HM was quite unusual... so to speak. It happened after I started to get into Eyeshield 21 and I read all the tanks.
Then, I was bored for new material. So I decided to search for Jpn fansites. It was then I got exposed to (fanon) yaoi pairings for Es21. It was such a shock, I was pretty much.... bonkers? XDDDD I'm not really a yaoi fan and I really don't see TEH YAOI in Es21.

+So I decided to make up a STRAIGHT but ON CRACK pairing to counter the crack yaoi pairings I saw. In my jest, I paired Hiruma and Mamori together... feeling very confident that the crack was so ultimate and no one would ever think of such a pairing. (Note; this was during early in the manga. And there was no HM undertones at all...)

+ BUT THEN.... I found that there were Jpn fansites dedicated to HiruMamo. Naturally, I laughed my guts out -- thinking my crack was plausible after all. Not only that, they were many Big Name jpn fans who were into HM. So I read their sites and soon, I AM A BELIEVER XDDDDDD Plus, with the additional development in the characters, it poured more fuel to the fire so to speak. Hohohohoh, HIRUMAMO SAIKOU!!

+ The name 'Antagonism' was chosen to reflect the constant flux between Hiruma and Mamori. Only they know what goes on in their minds, when they spar XDDD The layout is created by myself, using my scans of the Es21 manga.
