she's mad at the world and herself, reallyIs it that surprising for me to have emotions?
I know I rarely do emo/wangsty posts... but what I don't get is ppl's reactions about it. One; they get surprised. Or Two; they just pretend everything is fine.
Everyone has some sort of emotion. Why are you staring at me like I have a horn on my head? I do feel sad and morose like the rest of you. It's just I am not inclined to show it that much.
A lot of things make me sad/disturb me/shatter my frail ego. A lot of them are terribly petty small things that I choose to NOT burden ppl with it. So I put on a smile and do a lil twirl -- no one's the wiser.
But sometimes, after you bottled up the negativity for so long... you have to let it out somehow. So I let it out -- but ppl seems to ignore the hurt. HAHAHAHAAH WHY IS THAT? I've seen ppl with petty problems
Just because I don't cut myself, you act like nothing's happened?
Once, I was with a group of friends and something happened. True I was slightly angry but I pretended to be very angry/emo about it -- in fact I 'parodied' how someone in that group I was with acted all the time... emo angsty drama queen. The person I was 'parodying' told me to stop being so wangsty. How f*cked up was that??! When you're being all sad & dramatic, the others and I try to comfort you and coax you to talk. But when I pull the same bullshit, you can't even give me the same amount of care I show you.
You give and you give. But in the end, do you get anything back? Just empty promises and a whole lot of nothing.

MUSE LIVE '07Went to the MUSE concert last night RWAAAAAARRRRRRRRR
Unlike other ppl who'd probably be headbanging to the albums before the event, what did I do? Cleaning/mopping the house & levelling up in FF5. Gah what an auntie I've become ;____;
Anyway... a big!thank you to Kuzu-tachi who graciously helped me buy the tickets when I went off galivanting to S'pore. My eternal gratitude in a box, shall arrive in your mailboxes LOL
Thanks to Fenix & her dad for the lift to the venue and back too :D
The concert was smashing btw. Thank goodness we didn't get the moshpit seats... it'd be fun but you'd get smushed. The bad kind of smush. EEW NO.
Fenix's comment of Matt 'dressed like an angpau' is probably the most accurate term for the event = RED tracksuit against dark backdrop = WOTTA WAY TO STAND OUT LOL
I'm satisfied with the playlist since they played the earlier songs that I hoped for. #1 being 'Feeling Good' XDDDD Too bad no 'Please Please Let Me Get What I Want'. I'd love to hear that live, eventho it's so short.
Great concert and the ppl were euphoric.. we even amused/mortified ourselves looking at the audience antics. (Bad dancing, guy getting told off for taking off his shirt, white peeee-puhle hurhur) But I seriously do not get why everyone was screaming earlier during the soundcheck. I mean, it's the soundcheck ppk going up on stage, doing his job.... and then ppl start screaming like it was Muse themselves hurhur Man, Malaysia truly Asia
What did we get in the end? Besides the experience, we chipped together for some MUSE pins :DDDDD Too bad Jackee lost hers :(((( Kuzu of course, being the ultra-fan started pillaging and looting.... well the stuff's free anyway. Ain't no crime XD
Then I went home and levelled up in ff5 some more. AUNTIE~~!!!
ps; the Knights of Cydonia video cracked my brain. Spaghetti western + 70's kungfu movies + 70's sci-fi? Methinks my late dad would've enjoyed it. Esp the poke at the Planets of the Apes movie.

a noteJust so you know, I'll be on holiday (travelling to Mom's for Chinese New Year) for a bit. I'll be back by the 21st ;) Happy V-day ppl!
12:06 PM + bleh
I finally caught up with Air Gear and Shinshi Doumei Cross :DDDDD
Air Gear wwas pretty much Air Gear but SDC? That manga is srsly WTF (in a good way) because things just happen randomly and PLOT TWISTS! Like Maora being the mailman HUH??!! That threw me off but what I don't get is... when Maora is in GIRL form, he's short. When he's in GUY form, he's taller than the girls. HUH?
That doesn't make sense at all. I can accept the guy is actually a HAWT guy dressed up as girl. But the height difference thing is like... DURRRRRR.
Anyway I got tagged -- but I have a feeling I've done this before.
Each player of this game starts off with ten weird things or habits or little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged must write in a blog of their own ten weird things or habits or little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you must choose six people to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks.
1. I have some sort of hydrophobia... I get kinda nervous when surrounded by a huge body of water. I think it stems from the fact that I can't swim.
2. I can't eat spicy food. Hey that's not weird, you say. Well in my case, I really can't eat spicy food. I have a very sensitive tongue and I can still taste a smidgen of chili in a glass of water I kid you not. Me + spicy food = It burns with the fury of a thousand suns OWOWOWOW I NEED A GLASS OF MILK NOW Suugeeeee nekojita damon.
3. I'm very sensitive to temperature and its changes.... rapid changes will make me all fluey and sick. I need an environment where it's stable and dry <-- I sound like a plant.
4. Totally not a morning person. My energy is at its peak during the night. All nighters = no problem after I catch a 20 minute nap.
5. I am very very.... obsessive compulsive(?) about my books. I don't like seeing dents or rips or folds or scratches or bent pages on them and I really don't like when ppl open my books so wide that it bends the spine T_T (no 1 way to get into my hatelist is to do that) I'm very particular about my books, kay? I also peel off the price tags on my books and paste them back unto the inner back cover.
6. .... *seriously thinking atm* I am much more lucid/fluent on paper? Seriously, I write better than I speak. Because when I speak I sound like a retard.
7. I tend to over-think about stuff that's already happened. For instance, suppose I jumped over a very wide drain. I made it but my brain would start thinking about what would happen if I didn't make it. It would start thinking about the various scenarios and blabla... a waste of brain power.
8. I.. find it hard to make friends IRL due to past trauma.
9. Believe it or not, my first 12 years of life I WAS THE GOOD QUIET GIRL. Never raised my voice at anyone. And then came high school and I changed. For the worse.
10. I actually have a fear going down stairs. Actually it's a feeling of caution and restlessness caused by the fact that I feel down the stairs three times. Don't want there to be a fourth time.

shopping and it didn't kill meIt was a holiday yesterday and I decided to make my way down to Lot 10 to shop. How many years has it been since I last step foot there.. methinks a year. Gah how lazy have I become? A few years ago you could say I was always there once a week.
Anyway I actually took the train down to Bukit Bintang, since I wanted to avoid the hassle of the bus. The old me would never use that option (the monorail charges are a bitch).. I guess I did grow older (and lazier) ;_;
I feel kinda disjointed from my old haunts in KL now -- namely Sinma/Kotaraya and Petaling Street. Me needs to get back there one day and find back the old comic/dvd stores that used to be there...
Back on topic; I bought two new work shirts and I'm actually happy about it. That's new. I need to hunt down a shirt @ SEED Work, and my shopping would be 60% done. I still need to find new pants/T-shirts.
I saw that jacket I always wanted at Nicole. They had my size :D I was THIS close to getting it -- until I remembered I owe ppl monies and I still have stuff to pay for. Byes jacket. Maybe if we meet next time at a bargain bin somewhere.... maybe.
And it seems I got karaoke invites for Sat & Sun. At the same place. HUH??

tax woes already?AW GEEZ I kinda had a shock when I saw what came in the mail today.
INCOME TAX FORM DUN DUN DUNNNNNN~!!!!!
But now I clearly can say there has been a cock-up with the system. They sent me the wrong form because of my 'incorrect' tax file number.
Why is my file number incorrect? Because they farked it up that's why. When I bought the house back then, the effecient ppl gave me a OG numbered file. OG files are for ppl who own their own businesses.... I'm employed which means I deserve a SG file number, not a OG.
Last year they sent me the correct form. But not this year :PPPPP
So I called the helpline up and they tell me I can't ask for the right form till March. Gyah.
They advise me to use the e-filing instead. Which I says OH HELL NO. I have no confidence/trust in government electronic systems, websites etc Till the day Malaysia has proper internet security and not blacklisted by Paypal, I will not conduct such matters over the net unless necessary. (Which explains why I use so much 'protections' for my online purchases...)
Besides I'd like a hardcopy of the taxform TQ VERY MUCH.
Anyway I was informed that I'd probably repeat this shenanigans till I get my file number 'fixed'. So here I am trying to get thru to the branch that has my file so I can tell them to get their act together... politely. Hmmpf. No one's picking up the phone. Slackers.

Anyway I return from a trip to Singapore... this is what took half of my luggage. Goddamn I guess I should be thankful for packing light when I went down to the Lion City.
What impressed me the most on this trip is seeing the Video Library at the Esplanade. Videos and dvds available for borrowing* by users *_* OH WONDERS OF WONDERS!!! Oh man I guess ppl should be glad that I'm not Singaporean or I'd raid the library every frikkin day DDDDDD: Old Shakespearean movies to watch and Star Trek TNG boxsets *drools* OHMAIGA~!!!!!!
*Goddamn my English is fantastic.
Anyway I should be surprised if I didn't return sunburnt. GODDAMN SINGAPORE SUN WAS FOLLOWING ME :(((( It rained on the day I left huhuhuhuhh???!!!

I'm sick with the flu (again) and I half-asleep in the office. Hahah they wanted me to be in by 8am but that doesn't mean I have to be alert/lucid by 8am. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

hate coffee*switching over to new Blogger interface*
Hmmm where is the publish button?
I had an incident just now that proves I should NEVER drink coffee as long as I live. You guys should know that I hate coffee & tea. I can stomach certain kinds of tea (green tea is yum) but we hates coffes.
So this morning for breakfast... I had to buy coffee. Since there was no Belgian Chocolate and I had to settle on mocha for my chic fix. I drank -- and I found yup, I still hate coffee :PPPP
And then... I accidently spilled it over the keyboard. ^76%^%!$7&*!(& ~ !!!!
Still trying to dry the thing -- and I think no damage was done. Aside the fact that my keyboard smells of mocha :S
GRRRRR, NO MORE COFFEE FOR ME AS LONG AS I LIVE.

It was a blast... more details over at the LJ. I don't think I blew my savings on the event. Didn't buy much doujins and I didn't want any artbooks (a lot of artbooks this year) But I did get a Kyouya canbadge & Mori bookmark XDDD And Vincent postcards ohohoohoh.
Anyway... a package came for me today.

It's a DS from my friend Andy *_* I really can't thank you enough for letting me have this. But I can't play with it currently tho NO MONEY TO MOD IT HAHAHA LAWL I IS BROKE

I don't even have to drive to make wallpapers anymore. Them kids with their fantastic vector pizazz these days... I can't even try to compete with that *sighes*
Putting the emo aside, let's amuse ourselves with the crazy illustrations found in the Jpn manual for the Nintendo Wii LOL

travel talkBtw, I bought my train tickets for my short trip to S'pore... Jan 6-9.
And then my travel partner Ev brought this up on me. She wants to visit the Botanical Gardens in S'pore.
And I go like this, "SAY WHAT?"
Because I pretty much don't understand her need/want to see the Botanical Gardens LOL Is there anything special there in the first place? Well Ev said she wants to go there because everytime she's been on the island the place was always closed. So she wants to take the opportunity to see it next month.
I do appreciate nature as much as the next person -- altho I will not CAMP/rough it out in the wild. I like my creature comforts i.e. toilets, comfy bed and refridgerator for one.
But.. I guess it depends on where I'm travelling. Like for instance, if I were going to tour the Amazon, yes I would be willing to rough it up/endure the leeches and god knows what. It comes with the territory..
But Singapore? That pretty much means I want to visit comic stores, book stores and toy shops. (Singapore is a haven for anime-related merchandise. Not like Japan but it's better what I can get here in Malaysia.) Not see some trees & birds in some fancy enclosure LOL I can do THAT and more at our local parks and zoos. And it's cheaper too.
Anyway, I told Ev if we have the time we might find ourselves at the damned Botanical Gardens. There better be some interesting things to see there.
6:07 PM + still sick
Auuugh I had a nosebleed jus now :( Not the happy fangurl type but the 'I blew my nose hard and blood came out' type :PPP
Enabling comments via Blogger is a pain. Let's not do that again... anyway, new layout^^ The return of the green-haired marimo ^3^ I should've put this up like a month ago but... *shrugs shoulders*

ze plane boss ze planeBleh. Still haven't recovered from the viral infection of my DAMN sinuses. Be gone viruses from my nasal cavity *flail arms around*
Ho hum. Take a gander at what I bought recently. A new CASIO watch; Isetan KLCC is having a Casio clearence sale atm and I took the opportunity to buy this watch... in actuality I really shouldn't splurge since I already have a watch. But... I really wanted a metal watch and this was really marked down (70%)
So you can guess what I decided in the end^^ It's been long since I wore a analog watch. My main requirement for a watch is they must have some sort of date indicator* -- that pretty much narrowed my choices to digital type. (Back then mixed displays like there weren't as commonplace as it is now.)
*Because I have trouble remembering what date it is... :PPP
... I like seeing the lil plane go round and round the face LOL
The flipside of this is I really shouldn't have spent on random buys. This month is gonna be a killer for me. With friends coming down for a visit, another friend's birthday, Xmas being close and I just spent a sum on train tickets to Singapore (and an upcoming trip to S'pore)... let's not forget I spent my extra monies on a new pair of glasses.. *slaps forehead* My cash is flowing out of my pockets NOOOESSSSS ORZ
And let's not forget I'll be starting to pay for insurance by Jan 07 *wibbles*
At this rate I'll never get INTERNETS for the house ORZ
Movie watched over the weekend: Death Note. Didn't like it.
Manga/book bought last week : Kekkaishi 7. More lovin for Kekkaishi pls.

Anyway, my nose is intent on making me get the flu *so not pleased*. My throat is all gravelly and my voice probably sounds like Ben Grimm atm. I've been having relapses of fever since two days ago. Very much FUN TIME indeed :PPP
I took this Jpn proficiency test online, since a friend pushed me to it... and I scored 55% GO ME I SUCK. This was for Lvl 4 so... I still can't beat kindergarteners *shakes fist* I did poorly in the grammar part especially the adjectives. My vocabulary however was pretty good for a Lvl 4. I'm surprised.
I guess, if I work on it I might just pass Lvl 4... That's a BIG IF though. I'm so goddamned lazy to study mwaraghaggah... *melts into puddle of laziness*
Excuse me while I attempt to cough out my lung.

\(^3^)/Yesterday a co-worker handed me something VERY NICE \(^3^)/

Yup if you've been here long enough, you'd know about the lovely rare fruit I go crazy after named Nam-nam or 'katakpuru'. Apparently my friend saw the fruit on sale at Sect 17's morning market and she bought it for me *________* Now I must stalk the morning market (if I have the time that is..)
Anyway I texted my mom immediately after receiving the fruit BOHAHAHAHAHAH.
Later that night I chose the largest fruit and ate it. Hur hur hur.

A picture of the skinned fruit. Sorry for the bad camphone pics.

Here's a cross section of the fruit. That half-circle brown thing there is the seed. Pretty small innit? Pls note that the fruit is terribly sour (high in acid) and therefore oxidizes very fast --> the flesh turns brown = icky.

This is how I eat the fruit. WITH SOY SAUCE & SUGAR. DAMN MY KIDNEYS ARE HATING ME. It's a must since the fruit is sour and not really nice to be eaten on its own. Therefore the soy sauce & sugar combats the sour taste.
It's no wonder after eating the fruit I always GULP down lots of water to please my kidneys.
After that hullabaloo now comes the important part... I want to plant the seed and grow my own tree BOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. THEN I CAN EAT IT EVERY DAY
Thank you whoever it is UP THERE for allowing me to enjoy the fruit, for a day or two TT______TT

another injuryYou know a funny thing happened to me last Saturday. I dropped a padlock on my foot. My toe, actually and now it's all purple. Yeah.
TT_TT THAT HURT LIKE HELL. Click here if you want to survey the damage. I don't think I broke any bones but now there's a nasty bruise/blood clot underneath the toenail. Man this is gonna take ages to go away :((((
If anyone steps on my foot, I WOULD KILL THEM.
Besides that, my mom hath returned back to her home. I miss the fine food already. The cupboard is back to being bare. Back to instant ramen for me TT_TT (It has been proven that I can't cook because of my poor taste buds.) LE SIGH.
This month might prove to be my undoing since I am in need of things. Such as a new pair of glasses. I've had my current pair for years and my eyesight went up again. There's also the fact I need to update my flimsy wardrobe :-/ My fashion sense isn't cheap nor normal, since I dun like whatever's in fashion atm.
Speaking of fashion, I was watching the telly the other day and was shocked to hear that we have goth-wannabes here in Malaysia. Well these goths seem to be the type that listens to My Chemical Romance and Evanescence... not the goth-rock/hardcore Marilyn Manson types. There was footage of them, being decked in their goth-wear.
If I saw them, I swear I would've thought they were cosplay fans or something. Not goth fans .. because in my mind, I envision goth fans would look rather like Marilyn Manson/visual kei-ish, ya know? Hah, goes to show you how 'animanga culture' have warped my mind.
My toe is throbbing. ;_;

random postI was up at the balcony, on a Sunday putting my laundry out to dry.
Then I heard this really familiar tune playing. At first I told myself I was hallucinating since my brain likes to fool my ears by subconciously playing music in my head. Plus, how the hell could I hear that famous prelude music while I'm out in the balcony? Ha ha ha ha. Damn brain.
And then the music got louder and louder till I could hear the FF Prologue music blasting from next door.
.... Looks like my neighbour is playing FF12. Ceh. There's no mistaking that arranged version. Either that or he's watching the fmv-'movie' cd but I heard English voices. So, game. Definately.
Times like these makes you wish you had the Door Door ability so you could go next door and beat the guy up and steal the ps2. Hur hur.
12:52 PM + my mom saw my room omigods
Well, I got my Raya cookies yesterday so last post's title is pretty much moot LOL
Anyway yesterday my mom tells me she went upstairs 0____0 I KNEW I SHOULD'VE CLEANED UP MY ROOM. But that's not the point... the point is she saw my rather big collection of manga. Awawawawawawa she always nags me about wasting my money on books.
Surprisingly enough she didn't say anything about it. Huh?
Maybe she'll nag me tomorrow or something. Granted when I came back yesterday, she seemed a lil tired. And surprised hehehe. Oh well.

where's my Raya cookies??!Hey, it's after Raya and no one is in the office. Excepting me, of course.
Since Mom is here, the fridge actually looks like a fridge. IT HAS VEGETABLES! THE NON-MIXED KIND. THE SHOCK. LOL She actually cooked some food for us TT_TT Been a while since I tasted home-cooked food... I guess she got sick with take-out. (I myself can't really depend on take-out too long. That's why I sometimes eat in, regardless it's instant ramen or soup-in-the-can.. nothing beats the feeling of eating something you prepared? Which is something, coming out of my mouth, a person with no culinary skills whatsoever.)
Mom cooked fried rice = ME HAPPY. Me likes me fried rice.
In other news, I put up some of random mangas for sale over at CF forum. It would be nice if somebody would take it all offa my hands -- so far I made quite lil sales. I'm surprised to see PMK get snapped up first.. I thought ppl would be clamouring over the CLAMP stuff.
.... crap, I just looked at something I didn't want to. IYAAAAAAAAAA.

the return of the fangurlHey ppls I ARE BACK *crickets chirped*
Ha ha ha. Actually I returned to work Tuesday -- I flew down with my mom and let's just say I hate flying. Thank goodness I rarely fly.
Staying in KB for a while sure opened my eyes to some things. I've discoverd being there during fasting month is no FUN. Idiots. You do not force ppl to fast, dammit! Aren't there laws against mixing politics and religion??!
GRAAAAH. The stay sure pounded the phrase "You can't go home again." into me. As much I love the place.... it's getting harder to like it with the 'changes' going around.
Maybe I'm getting too used to living in KL? *shrugs*
Anyway, I return with my hair cut short. *is very irate about this* Apparently that hairdresser has a grudge against me since this is the second time she cut my hair short when I told her I wanted to keep it long. If you want a piece of me, I'll agree to wrassle/food fight/mud wrestling BUT WHY MUST YOU SABO ME LIKE THIS? *rage*
*angry pout*
So yeah, mom's is with us now, for a while. So far she hasn't ventured upstairs yet. If she did, you prolly expect an emo post about me getting it from my mother about the books I have. *sighs*
Anyway, the eve of a 5 day holiday is upon us here in Malaysia. It's a bunch of public holidays smooshed together - Deepavali & Hari Raya. Greetings all around. Now the question is, what the hell am I gonna do for 5 days? Clean the house, I guess *cringes*

future travelling plansAfter I posted below, I just realized what date it was LOL Man is it really October now?
Last weekend was great. For one I managed to met up with Ev and she finally treated me to a b-day lunch (which is like, 4 months after my bday). We ended up at the TGIF and I didn't eat much since I wanted to drink. Eheh. But I had some cheesecake mmyum.
After lunch, we ended up at Borders. Borders is having a sale throughout the Ramadan month, methinks... 20% on all books. Goddamn. They made me pick up volumes of Keroro & Kekkaishi. My wallet cries (yes, I've added Kekkaishi to my readlist.) ...Borders is generally cheaper than Kino. Looks like Kino has a contender for the rights to my soul/wallet.
Anyway Ev has designs to travel sometime this year... she always has plans to go down to S'pore but always too busy to go. She wants to see the Botanical Gardens for some reason... I'll probably tag along since I've been down a couple of times. So we might storm down at the end of the year.
She also mentions wanting to visit Japan someday. If that happens I really have to start saving my money like right now...
Suffice to say I lent her the Keroro movie to watch ;D
I guess I should try tracking down that durned Bandai factory.

Idiots, I tell you. One of the guys higher-up just barges in my room to demand a computer for his buddy, trying to make a fuss.... and I tell him to his face, "I wrote the letter of appeal last week."
He shuts up and leaves my room.
!&@^^*%~@^%!#^$!@^%#! Next time pls check with the office before barging into my room to flex your non-existant muscles.
Updated the link and look for my pbbs today. It looks autumny.
And I finished FFTA during the weekend. OMG my first game evuh LOL I feel like a dork for feeling like I accomplished something so great/hard. FFTA is not that hard you know! Shaddup let me have my small victories. And I even went spying for the price of a DS lite and 'modifications' yesterday :3
Goddamn Borders is having a sale... 20% on all books. Throughout the Ramadan month. Made me bought volumes of Keroro & Kekkaishi <-- my latest mini-obsession? General WIN for me but badd for my wallet.

my eye hurtsThe battle with my eye is still not over :(
I've been having some sort of problems with my eye since last week, actually. Redness and irritation (conjunctivitis?). But last Wednesday was the worst since it hurts so much that I had to wear an eyepatch. (Would you believe I went to the Isetan Pre-Sale with an eyepatch? LOL Yep I did. I had a lot of nasty bump-ins too since my vision was limited.) On Thursday it seemed a lot better so I could do without one.... but today it seems the irritation is back :(
Well at least it's not that bad. I think I can get away with closing my left eye for brief rest periods today.
I seriously think my current ailments are the result of stress. Stress from the workplace? Very unlikely... so from where? 0_0???
On another note I was pretty much spazzing yesterday... one of my rare bouts of fangirlism took over me, I guess. The night was spent with me spouting lines that would scare men away
Oh I got some nice stuff at the Isetan Presale. Too bad I can't wear them w/o making some alterations first. I have short legs ;___; Oh whatta cruel life.

a short entry for the captain's logSo I set me sails to Kino yesterday and I returned with FF Advent Children : Reunion Files.... and RM 127 poorer.
Feel free to pelt me with tomatoes for wasting me dubloons.
Truth be told the main reason I bought the book is because it's bilingual and it had notes on the soundtrack. Reading it while listening to the OST is fun aaar.
Although I am miffed about the lack of photo coverage on Vincent >:( They gave Barret and Cid one page spread each! I don't want to see you, ya old coots! I want to see more of Vincet LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
But then again Vincent is the oldest o' the bunch... who gives a barnacled hoot? He's hawt and a half XDDDD
Well in case ye were wondering about the whole Olaf, Mary & Sven cursing in the last post.... y'see Ikea is a Swedish company. Olaf, Mary & Sven seemed like typical Swedish names... henceforth I cursed out the first Swedish-like names I think of. I R GENIUS.

cake cake caaakeeeWeekend was WEIRD. Seriously weird LOL Here's a runup.
On Friday, there was a department dinner held at a nearby Hilton. Much food was consumed. I didn't care much for the main course but the CAKES WERE LOVELY. Cheesecake OMG!
Needless to say I did my best impersonation of Honey-sempai from Ouran Host Bu and ate cakes all night 0_0
At the end of the dinner, I managed to bring some cake back with me ;DDDD CAKE CAAKE CAAAKE~!!!
On Saturday I was stuck in the house :( So I repeated what I did yesterday and survived on CAKES the whole day LOL OMG, how does Honey-sempai do this? I got quickly sick by cakes that day LOL But the cheesecake slices were too yummy *drools*
For dinner... I found myself at a hawaiian BBQ held at some posh condominium @ Damansara. I didn't enjoy myself that much since there was much meat but no sweets (like cakes LOL). But free food is free food BOHAHAHAHAH.
On Sunday I decided to drag bro out ot Ikea where we bought a coffee-table.... which later broke somewhat when we were installing it CRAP. I quote me when I say, "Damn you Olaf! Damn you Mary! Damn you Sven!"
I think we sorta fixed it... but let's just say that table can't be sat upon. YEP. Curse you Ikea~!
It took us 2 hours to put together a very simple table. That must be a record.
And today bro returned with mooncakes :DDD YUMYUM. I'm surprised I haven't gone all mooncake-crazy like I usually do. Maybe it's because I don't pass by the bakery like I used to since the move. Because the bakery would have mooncakes out on display and I'd look at and drool and end up buying one hurhur.
And now I must be off to Kino to waste some monies again AGAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I AM SAD.

oh yes the pain T_TGrrr, it seems my life is just marked with pain. This morning I nearly tripped and sprained (sorta) my bad ankle. Oh yes, I love having shooting pain on my about-to-heal ligament, thank you very much.
T_T
It was a nice way to wake up, I can tell ya that.
And I was typing up a letter on Word just now and I wanted to italize a sentence. You know what I did? I typed html tags instead... you know that < i > HAHAHAHHA LOLZ MY BRAIN THINKS IN HTML How inferior~!
I haven't worked on anything graphic-y lately. (Well I did do this layout but that doesn't count. Why? Because I say so :P) Makes me itchin to make another winskin or something. It's either that or a layout for the ElJay. Hmm...

confessions of a bookaholicSo my mom calls me up the other day and tells me not to spend so much on books.
.... But the only thing I really splurge on is books. I don't think she has grasped the thought that she can't stop me from buying them :( I like buying books. I like reading them. I like the new book smell. I like fliping the pages.
I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't spend money on hookers etc... Books are my only vice. Is that bad for me to spend my money on books?
Well she says it's problem when I die... because the house would be full of books that's not worth a cent and therefore, shall be thrown out.
Maybe I should reply she won't be around when that happens so leave such problems to me. -_-
In the end, I just nod my head and pretend to not hear what she said.
2:55 PM + new layout
*wipes dust* Crikey I haven't been updating long here haven't I? My badd.
Doing a lil house-cleaning on the blog/domain... we got moved to new server so I had to re-ul stuff back. Had a lil probem with the fanlistings but everything seems to be solved now.
And I managed to make a new layout for this blog. Who would have thought? LOL Plus I re-organized the links and joined stuffs. I removed most of the LJ links because they're already friended on my lj.
The entries look a lil dodgy... methinks it is the pics I posted here causing the misalignment. Booos.

rare foodstuffs ahoyNow I present to you, two things in life I'd gladly kill to eat.

The odds of finding a picture of these otabemono side by side is astronomical, I might add. On the left is etok, a type of freshwater mussel. On the right is a rare fruit some people call 'katakpuru', or rather known as namnam (c. cauliflora) notation & pic
BOTH I can't get here in the city ;_________;
Both are quite rare somewhat... the mussel you could get (back in hometown) but the numbers are dwindling. As for the fruit, well you can eat it if you have your own tree... which I don't *EMO TEAR*
Aaaaah. Why the hell am I addicted to rare foods?
5:17 PM + hot wax and books
Yesterday I went for my hot wax treatment.
No, not THAT kind of wax. What I did was basically to have hot wax poured over my right arm and let it cool to form a hot casing and leave it on for while. It's supposed to help with sore muscles.
Seeing the molten wax made me nostalgic. My previous department had me handling wax 5 days a week. So I stood there, as the attendant poured hot wax over my arm (Gaaaaahhhhh!) Then I remembered I hated working with wax because hot wax + dark clothes = awful greyish dust over clothes >:(
So that was my first time. Now I gotta do that again and again. Which is no problem considering spraining an arm muscle for me, is kinda normal. But what I'm worried about is this abnormal 'bump' on my right hand (right under the anatomical snuffbox area). Gah, Tuesday can't come any faster.
Anyway I finished Abhorsen yesterday RWAR I feel TEH accomplished. Now to finish Eldest and be done with my to-read list. Gaiman's Anansi Boys sounds like an interesting read hmm hmm. Might get a copy soon.

pictures~!!My latest figure came in yesterday :DDD Finally I have a body for the heads! Naturally it inspired me to take a lot of photos LOL

My shelf as it is now... durn that shelf is just full with red frogs.

Probably I'll stop indulging in figures after this, for a while. Need to give time for wallet to recharge itself ;__;
11:16 AM + why don't you give this a title?
Gaaah. What a week it has been :/
My sprained ankle is somewhat better, eventho there is slight swelling and I can't put my whole weight on it just yet.
I spent last week in physio, with a hot pack on my arm and a cold cast for my foot TT_TT Godammit I cannot handle the cold at all, as proven by my frantic actions (getitoff! getifoff!) after putting on said cold cast for 5 minutes. The growing sweaty heat encasing my arm was a piece of cake compared to the painful numbness on my toes.
I am to start hot wax treatment for my arm tomorrow. From what I hear, I'd dip my arm into wax and they'd wrap it up... gaaaaah, I'd imagine my arm would come out looking like a cooked lobster.
What I don't like about the hot wax treatment is I was forced to trim my nails... My nice long nails! Gone! Hey it took quite some time to grow them long ya know...
Besides that I've been having too much fun playing FF4 and actually trying to catch up on my reading. I finished Sabriel the other day and currently about to finish Lirael. Ev tells me a new Artemis Fowl has popped up so I need to clear my reading list LOL I still have like HALF of Eldest to finish man what a chore.

big fat OW :(Yesterday was bad.
I spent the morning stuck in clinic, to get my wrist checked. No biggie, it's a rather small swollen tendon/ligament the size of a peanut. But it hurts if I try to push really hard with my palm.
That combined with my tennis elbow, hey there's a party in my right forearm :/
And then later that evening, I went and sprained my right ankle. BOY WAS THAT PAINFUL. Actually me and sprained ankles are quite familiar with each other. We like to have drinks after dark. I've done this before plenty of times, but it certainly does not compare to Sprain #2 for the most amount of pain that I have ever experienced.
It was pretty bad since I sprained it whilst walking to the bus stop. Luckily an acquiantance at work passed by and helped me up... I sat at the security booth and that's when I felt my body going into shock. Shit on a stick. It's not a nice feeling -- feeling confused and wanting to faint at the same time.
Anyway the security guard called for an ambulance and I ended up at the trauma center.... where I waited for two hours before I was discharged. I knew I certainly did not fracture any bones -- I just hung around for an evaluation & meds.
So.. damage report: busted wrist, pulled forearm muscle & sprained ankle. I busted my right side. My left however only had a scraped knee. The doctor at trauma seemed genuinely surprised when I told him my arm injuries. Hey I maybe accident-prone but the injuries on my arm is not accidents! They're work-related!
Walking with a bum ankle is no easy task :( And this sinusitis of mine is making me hard to breathe.

new shoes <3Guess who has new shoes?

If you've been here long enough, you'd know that me + shoe shopping = stressful hours/futile attempts
But this time~!! I managed to find a pair of Fila shoes on markdown and I pretty much like it and it has my size :DDD Altho it is rather flashy than what I usually wear which is non-descript black footwear. Let's hope this shoes would last or I would lose hope in Fila for the rest of my life. (Anyway I realized that my last pair of shoes managed to survive this long on my feet. You did well.)
Besides that I even bought a pair of cheap canvas shoes; locally-made so I know they won't last long (probably). I just needed a pair so I could rotate them and these were super cheap.
Hurhurhur. I am just stoked that I didn't get stressed while looking for shoes. Now if only bra-shopping would be as smooth as this... life'd be perfect LOL

I have a 723 of my own LOLOLI joined Mask at Midvalley to watch PoTC 2. It was my 2nd viewing but she hasn't seen it -- so we were entertained by Cap'n Jack once more.
After the movie we made a quick stop at the model shop... try to imagine two girls invading a somewhat fanboy realm, where one is talking about life's wacky problems and the other is listening and shopping at the same time LOL
Anyway, I should be thankful that Mask was with me. Because she helped me to get this...

XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD YES I LOVE YOU MASAKO I WON'T EAT YOU ANYMORE MY SILLY ANAK XDDDDDDD

my nose TT_TTSomething happened to me on the lrt back home last week.
I found myself sitting between an Indian guy, slightly older Indian lady and there was this Indian dude standing in front of my seat.
Before I go any further, let me state that I am not racist/prejudiced. But truth be told I was in a very uncomfortable spot. I have nothing against Indians in general but being in close proximity of one has alway been taxing for me. Taxing in a olfactory sense since I could smell the horrid smell of oil.
I'm not saying that I have a sensitive nose but certain smells can make me quite sick. Old books for one, makes me retch the entire contents of my stomache. The old gum in the binding's at fault. And then, there's the smell of the oil the Indians use to bathe/anoint their hair with. I'm sorry but I really can't take the smell. I attribute this to my primary days where during morning gathering, we'd line up according to height. And there was this shorter Indian girl who always ended up standing in front me... and by doing so, place her oil anointed hair under my nose.
Let's just say it wasn't pleasant... smelling that week after week.
Not that I blame them for doing so. It's me who clearly can't stand the smell. (Did you know that I have to hold my breath when I enter libraries? The old books... uugh.)
So there I was stuck in the middle of three Indian persons and the smell of oil wafting thru the air.
I cried internally. I wonder why the hell the guy who stabding choose to sandwhich me in the worst scenario ever? I was torn between staying or changing to another seat. I didn't want to offend the people sitting beside me.
So I stayed in my seat, hoping that one of them would get off soon.
But they didn't. They stayed somewhat glued to where I was. I cursed and I was at my saturation point. People's feelings be damned, I need to get out of here~!!!!!
Soon an opening opened on the seats across. I changed seats....
And the moment I changed the seats, the buggers decided to break off and changed positions. Couldn't you do it earlier?? Don't tell me you could sense my distress a lie off and decided to surround me for the heck of it??! Kono yaro~~!!!
Ceh. Another day in the life of me.
p/s: Absolutely no intent in dissing Indian people and the oil bathing. Not all Indians do that, you know.
4:52 PM + mega sale
Malaysia Mega Sale begins. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Except that I will prolly have credit card debts for my book-buying binge in S'pore and I don't think it's wise for me to buy more things till I settle that one, ya huh TT____TT
Oh well. I'll probably settle in trying to get a new pair of shoes. The keyword is trying TT_TT I curse my stupid huge feet~!
Besides that, there's also my current trend in buying Keroro goods lately.... NO I MUST HOLD MYSELF BACK~! I've already placed on order for a figure and that shall be it~! Ora ora ora~!
